Prostate Cancer Awareness Month carries more than the obvious meaning. Of course, its intent is to raise awareness in hopes that we will motivate more men to get screened because we know all too well how that can impact lives. For us, it is also an opportunity to pause and to reflect.
We share a common bond. We at Isoray, who are committed to prostate cancer awareness and treatment, like you who diagnose and treat prostate cancer patients, know the statistics. Yet, we are always mindful that those statistics, while hard facts, should never obscure the reality. Behind those statistics are people. The lives of fathers, husbands, sons, cherished family members, co-workers and friends who put a face and a name to each number.
Here at Isoray, we never lose sight of that. It is one of the things I am most proud of. Our team cares deeply about those we seek to serve.
Recognizing Prostate Cancer Awareness Month holds great meaning for each of us on the Isoray team. Our relationships with the clinicians and institutions with whom we work matter. Our support of partnerships like the one we share with Zero Cancer are equally meaningful.
As I write this blog, I think about how far we have come and the future that awaits us as evidenced by the trials we are supporting and our sense that we will never rest on our laurels. It is what has made us an innovator in the field of prostate cancer brachytherapy treatment. And candidly, I am unapologetic about highlighting that fact. We have changed the treatment paradigm. With higher energy and a shorter half-life than competitors, Cesium-131 is a proven, precise, personalized treatment that has demonstrated its value. It’s not just something we say. The proof is in the data.
So, for those of you who know us and work with us, thank you. Thank you for letting us work with you to positively impact so many lives every day. And for those of you who don’t know us well, we understand change is not always easy. But change that delivers positive results for your patients is worth it.
I know most blogs are wordier. Sometimes, less is more and, in this case, I believe that’s true because the facts speak for themselves; our demonstrated steadfastness to our mission remains unwavering and clear.
Join us, talk to us, test us. We stand ready because every day, every patient is worth it.
